Der kanadische Ministerpr\u00e4sident aus Alberta droht mit Klagen.<\/h1>\n<p>Der k\u00fcnftige US-Pr\u00e4sident Joe Biden m\u00f6chte bereits am ersten Tag seiner Amtszeit das Projekt zunichtemachen, wie zwei Lobbyisten best\u00e4tigten und der US-Sender CBC berichtete. Die Pipeline sollte rund 500.000 Barrel \u00d6l am Tag aus Teersandvorkommen im kanadischen Alberta zu Raffinerien im US-Staat Texas bef\u00f6rdern.<\/p>\n<p>Keystone XL war eines der wenigen Themen, bei denen sich Trump und der kanadische Premierminister Justin Trudeau einig waren. Die liberale Regierung hatte geplant, sich weiterhin f\u00fcr die Pipeline einzusetzen.<\/p>\n<p>Auch Kanadas Botschafterin in Washington, Kirsten Hillman, sagte &#8222;Keystone XL passt in Kanadas Klimaplan. Es wird auch zur Energiesicherheit und wirtschaftlichen Wettbewerbsf\u00e4higkeit der USA beitragen.&#8220;<\/p>\n<p>Der noch-nicht-geprellte Ministerpr\u00e4sident der Provinz Alberta, Jason Kenney, teilte auf Twitter mit, er sei &#8222;zutiefst besorgt&#8220; \u00fcber die Berichte. &#8222;Sollte die k\u00fcnftige US-Regierung die Keystone-XL-Genehmigung aufheben, wird Alberta gemeinsam mit TC Energy alle rechtlichen M\u00f6glichkeiten nutzen, seine Interessen an dem Projekt zu sch\u00fctzen&#8220;, k\u00fcndigte Kenney an.<\/p>\n<p>TC Energy schlug die 8-Milliarden-Dollar-Pipeline erstmals 2008 vor. Die Obama-Regierung verweigerte jedoch 2015 eine grenz\u00fcberschreitende Genehmigung f\u00fcr die Pipeline aus Umweltschutzgr\u00fcnden.<\/p>\n<p>Nach Trumps erkl\u00e4rter Unterst\u00fctzung k\u00fcndigte die kanadische Regierung letzten M\u00e4rz eine 1,1 Milliarden Dollar schwere Investition an Keystone XL an. Vorl\u00e4ufige Bauarbeiten begannen bereits Herbst 2020 in Montana, Nebraska und South Dakota. Umgerechnet soll die \u00d6lversorgungsr\u00f6hre fast sieben Milliarden Euro kosten. Am Sonntag versprach TC Energy, dass Keystone XL im gesamten Betrieb Netto-Null-Emissionen erreichen wird, sobald sie 2023 in Betrieb genommen werde.<\/p>\n<p>Umweltsch\u00fctzer applaudierten der Entscheidung. \u201eDer designierte Pr\u00e4sident Biden zeigt Mut und Einf\u00fchlungsverm\u00f6gen gegen\u00fcber den Farmern, Viehz\u00fcchtern und Stammesv\u00f6lkern, die mit einer andauernden Bedrohung zu k\u00e4mpfen haben, die ihr Leben f\u00fcr mehr als ein Jahrzehnt gest\u00f6rt hat&#8220;, sagte Jane Kleeb, Gr\u00fcnderin von Bold Nebraska, einer Graswurzelgruppe, die sich darauf konzentriert, das Projekt zu vereiteln.<\/p>\n<p>Tats\u00e4chliche Probleme k\u00f6nnten m\u00f6glichen Lecks darstellen.
